DESCRIPTION
The forward recognition camera receives steering angle information from the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly. If the forward recognition camera detects a spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly, DTC C1A47 is stored.

When the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more 3 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON, a signal from the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly indicating that there is a spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly malfunction is detected by the forward recognition camera for 5 seconds or more. |

HINT:
If the steering angle sensor is malfunctioning, DTCs for the vehicle stability control system will be stored. Troubleshoot the vehicle stability control system first.
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Check for DTCs.
